The Downloaded versions of the Games on Windows XP

Problem -
I have a new computer with Windows XP
I downloaded the game and installed it, but I get a box that says " class not registered" ??

 

Solution -
Microsoft removed Java support from the newer versions of Windows XP.

The online Demo versions of the Bible or Catechism Games

Problem -
The games never seem to load - Just a gray box appears

 

Solution -
You may have an old or incompatible version of JAVA

Look at the Gray System Test Box below -

if it does not say Congratulations -
Click the button here

to download and install the latest version

Catholic Challenge Catechism Game Download Version

Problem -
The Menu selections for music are not correct

 

Solution -
Click to download this file

CCCatGame.exe

Replace your existing copy of the game.

It should be in

C:\Program Files\CCCATGAME\

This will correct the Menu problems.

Problem -
Registration seems to run fine, but then the CD is not recognized.
You may get this alert notice-

FixCat1_1.exe

Make sure your CD is in the drive and run this program to correct the games registration
Note - This does NOT effect the WINDOWS Registry in any way.


Catechism Demo Game

Problem -
Demo starts - but stops as soon as you click on "play" or "contest"
You may get an alert notice like below

 

Solution -
RIGHT click to download this file
RICHTX32.OCX
Choose "Save Target As"

Save this file into the same folder as you placed Catgame.exe - your computer should find it there and the game will start normally

Still have problems ?
If possible try the CD in a different computer-
If you decide to call us for tech support please have someone knowledgeable about your computer available. In many cases we can walk you through a fix.

If you e-mail us please be sure to give the following information-
The operating system
CD version number
The exact name ( 15 spaces) and year of birth to be registered
If the game gave you a registration number, give it to us

and as much as you can about what went wrong and when it happened.
