BRIGHTON-

On Tuesday, June 26, 18 youths and their families gathered at St. William's Hall on the campus of St. John Seminary, Brighton, to be recognized for their achievements in the Jubilee Bowl competition. The purpose of this project was to get kids to have fun and to learn about their faith at the same time.

The highest score at the Intermediate Level was turned in by
David Kronenberg of Winchester, MA. David scored an impressive 1,658 points in a game where the average player achieved around 900 points.
The Catholic Challenge Catechism Game offers a unique way for kids and their families to answer questions about the faith and learn more about the precious variety and depth of religious knowledge available in the Catholic faith tradition.

"Any kind of creative methods used to help young people and their families is great," Bishop Malone said after he had passed out the awards. "I think that it is great to find new ways for these kids to have fun and learn about their faith. Interactive learning is new and most kids know how to use it," he added. The project was started when Bishop Malone was director of Religious Education and has been very productive in the last couple of years.

"Through this project I was able to learn about my religion and it was very resourceful," said Julianne Tylko, who was among the recipients of a $100 prize. "I love computer games and had a lot of fun participating in this project."
